Frequently asked Questions

1. Can I post a Event if I am just looking for pricing and am not book an event yet?

No. Because Event Vendors are paying for this information, they are expecting a assignment that is ready to begin so they can recoup their investment in purchasing your lead. If you are only looking for pricing and not sure if you are going to proceed with your event planning arrangements, you must clearly and explicitly state that at the top of your description, but chances are you will not get many responses.

2. I have no idea what my event budget should be, can you help?

Depending on the expertise and experience of the Event Vendor, and the complexity of your Event, cost can be difficult to determine. The cost to put together your Event can vary dramatically from one Event Vendor to another. Here are some basic guidelines that should help. You can also click live help or speak to an EventQuote Representative for recommended budgets.

3. What information should I put in my events description?

For the best results we recommend you enter the following information:
What type of event are you having?
Similar events in the past that you'd like your event to emulate.
A list of services or features you would like.
Any existing materials you have that relate to the project.
Everything you expect to be delivered by the Event Vendors.
If this is a one-time event or if it may lead to more work in the future.

The following items are NOT allowed in your event description or details:
    Links to your existing website(s).
Personal contact information such as your name, company name, phone or email.
Events that you are not ready to schedule.

4. I'm not sure what to put in my event description. Can you help me?

Sure. Just Click on the live help icon, post your project as best as you can an then when an EventQuote Representative contacts you, ask them for help and they will assist you in updating your project.

5. Why hasn't the Event that I just added showed up on the Event list?

Events that are newly entered need to be verified by our EventQuote team. Expect to be contact by us soon. You must provide a valid email and phone number to post an Event. If you need to update your email or phone number click on the live help button during normal business hours Monday-Friday 10-5 EST

6. How do I remove an Event I posted?

If the Event is closed/completed, go to your Client home page, and in your Event listing you will see a 'close Event project' button next to each Event you have listed. Hit the 'close Event' button for the Event you wish to close. Then you will be asked a few questions about the Event project, including who you chose for the Event or why you closed the Event project. A few weeks later you will receive a feedback request so you can rate the Event Provider you hired.

7. How does EventQuote differ from other Event Quoting sites?

Unlike other websites that charge clients for adding Event Projects, it is absolutely free to post a Event project on Event Quote. Event Vendors interested in your Event project will compete to earn your business. Instead of Event Vendors posting bids and trying to undercut each other, you will receive only quality quotes and be able to communicate directly with the Event provider. Because the Event providers are paying for your lead, you get bids from high quality service Event Vendors who are serious about their work. After comparing bids from a number of Event Vendors, you decide who you would most like to work with. You can keep in contact with the other Event Vendors, just in case you have more work in the future.
